Default Turbo heat shield bolts! advice please

Hey guys,

Just been to get a bit of a head start on fitting my downpipe tomorrow by attempting to get the turbo heat shield of however....

I've managed to get 4 of the 7 out (the 2 lower ones I will attempt tomorrow) but the one that nearest the brake servo (top) will not budge, as soon as I put the spanner on it was not feeling right, very loose. anyway....

No chance of getting the spanner on now just spins, no room for a ratchet in there due to the space between the bolt and the brake servo, I've trip gripping it with some mole grips but they seem to just slip off.

Any advice?

I snapped a load trying to get mine off on the classic. When i did eventually get it off i cut the heat shield in half so it only covered the top part of the turbo, and only used two bolts to retain it!

Just an update for you all, Finally got it done!

For the PITA bolt we cut the heatshield down the middle (thats no easy task) to expose the bracked for it, took the bracket off with the heatshield attached at the one point (still took some wiggling). Tidy up all the edges to create 1/2 a heat sheild to keep the heat off the intercooler and just rebolted it back on with 2 of the good bolts leave the left hand side uncovered. The "bottles" of brake fluid to the left dont even get warm.

SORTED!

Just another moan tho, that fecking bracket that holds the center pipe in place doesnt have a bolt in, gone missing somwhere will this cause any problems? the exhaust is solid so doubt itll jump out.
