Speedo Glitch
Hi All, I've got a 2005 STi UK car, with JDM (red blacklit & sweep) JDM dials with an electronic convertor.
I've got a (very) intermittent fault whereby the speed component of the cluster will stop working, where the RPM, Fuel, DCCD and Temp gauge will continue to work. The Speedo just stays at 0mph and the change-light doesn't seem to work either.
This has happened to me twice in about 5 weeks. The first time it happened I pulled over, stopped the car, restarted and it came to life about 500m down the road.
This morning it happened again on my way to work. I continued the journey, got to work and parked up for the day. The Speedo worked fine on my way home.
I'm guessing it's an input problem rather than a problem with the cluster itself as the RPM Change-light seems to fail too.
I'll take the cluster out at the weekend and inspect the wiring/convertor behind - but I'm really not sure what to check for.
Any suggestions?

Bump
This seems to be happening more frequently now. I've had the cluster out and all connections seem fine, nothing obvious back there.
I guess I need to seriously consider a dial failure or a converter failure, which could be expensive to troubleshoot!
