Default Defi water temp adaptor problem

Hi all as above.

It would seem that the defi sensor has been warn a little on the connection for the adaptor. So what should be 1/8 NPT simply sits in the hole the tightens 2 turns only.
Any thoughts on how to sort this without buying another temp sensor ?
Cheers

Try some/A bit more PTFE tape on it but it sounds like its been threaded at some point, Keep an eye on it too

Cheers Gaz.

Quick one also I have a exhaust temp gauge. I'd this slow to register sometimes as mind hasn't moved yet. Bearing in mind it's only idling

I'm confused here. the Defi sender screws straight into the tappings on the block, it doesn't need an adaptor.

I think the thread on the water temp is worn as the adaptor it goes in that i bought for the top rad hose is a 1/8NPT so should be ok although it goes in it only catches the last two turns

If it is only catching the last two threads I would bin it and get a new one. As if it decides to loose those two threads whilst driving you may not notice quick enough to prevent the engine cooking itself and then needing a re-build or replacement engine.
