DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER
I got the same car and the answer is no either main dealer or if you have had a ecutek remap the mapper can use his programme to find out ..
I never used them but they still have the early plugs underneath the steering rack connect them see how many flashes you get then check on here in technical part as there is a sticky from jgm on codes and what they are
hope this helps

Hi there
If you have at home any laptop have look on this,I've used this on my friend car and working very well
Here is overview of this SW
http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/...r-ecm-tcu.html
http://developer.berlios.de/projects/freessm/
Its free and you need just supporting cable,I've tried cheap cable from eBay and worked very well on friend car(I've reset his TCU and not sure if will not work too with ABS faults)
On older mode you will need scanner which will read SSM(Subaru Select Monitor),with above posted SW you should be able to read error codes without the problems with cheap OBD cable from eBay
Hope this help
