Default Turbo swap but which is like for like

Hi all, few days ago I lost all boost, so today I pulled the turbo out to find debris out the up pipe cat Jammed in the compressor housing. Freed it all up but the fins have taken a real battering. It's back together now but whistles like a ****** f, and the cat in the uppipe is rattling like hell, so I'm goin to fit a decat uppipe, and possibly a new turbo but I thought I might change for a better one as I got to pull it out again.what turbo will fit like for like with a tdo4L were I have not got to worrie about any extra tuning

itll have to be another td04l with no tuning, a vf43 or vf35 will fit but need bigger injectors and a map, you will need a map after decatting the uppipe any way

As above. After bolting on any other parts you will need a map. I once put a td05 on and didnt do anything else. It ran ok and produced a bit more power but i wouldnt recomend wothout a map. Ive got a mint vf28 if your interest. A very quick spooling turbo so plenty of torque. 250 if your interested. Its coming off my car at the end of the week due to an upgrade. Pm me if interested

I've put a full decat system ie uppipe , downpipe , , exhaust and perrin headers on another of my other scoobys been running it a few years with no probs without a remap. I don't want to up the boost or anything , was thinking a tdo5 because they are a bit more robust and up pipe because its a newage my01 and the bugeyes have a major floor with the uppipes .

As i said i ran a td05 plus exhaust ect with no map, but you would benefit a lot if you did map. Td05 or a decent top end but will be laggier than your 04. All depends what you want? My vf28 on my type r has made about 320-330 on 1.2 bar and its really nippy.makes a really quick road car
