Default Hose questions (turbo inlet)

Whilst changing spark plugs today I noticed something didn't look quite right and for the past month or so iv been convinced I have a boost leak. Wether or not its affecting anything I don't know but there's a split in the pipe where it clamps onto the turbo. So I need to replace it, it's a standard 02wrx, samco and Perrin are to expensive for me can you get oem ones?

No your not missing a hose, my 03 wrx has the same clip fitted but no hose to go into it.

Yes you will be able to get an OEM replacement, but I believe that to fit an OEM type you will have to remove the inlet manifold as the OEM pipes are made of hard plastic and will not bend and deform like the Silicone ones.

Do you think it will be much of an issue with it been under the jubilee? I could really do with a boost gauge. Good news about the clip anyway I get paronoid.

That pipe is on the intake of the turbo so you wont get a boost leak but you may get air sucked in bypassing the MAF sensor and leaning the mixture. Ideally replace the pipe not sure if it would be a good idea to use some sealant on the split then jubilee clip back up. This could work till you get round to replacing the hose.

I used some of that rubber tape as a tempory fix, really don't fancy having to take off the inlet manifold to fit a new one. But it'll have to be done I suppose.
