Default Classic ecu

Hi ya,can anybody tell me if an AE 801 is a straight swop for an AE 802 ecu,both out of a my99/00,sorry if this seems basic but I've been stung on this before....

Yes, Immobiliser is external to the ECU. I assume you are putting in the AE801 rather than taking out, since that is the better of the two.

AE 801 is the better of the 2 ecu's as quoted above or an AE800 which again will fit. Straight plug and play.

The ecu I'm lookin at has E3 on the casing and mine has Y7,does that make any difference

The E3 is a better ecu than the Y7 it runs a more aggressive map so stick with that. The label will be either red or black that says E3. , whereas the Y7 label is green

The ecu I was lookin at has gone,anybody got 1 for sale,simtec or ecutec mapped for light mods (on a budget)
