Any lithium based grease will be fine, I used it when I fitted grease nipples to my 2006 STI rear shocks.

I had shocks stripped, cleaned out & grease nipples fitted to the rears & no issues with this grease

I'm just collecting bits to regrease and nipple my shocks next weekend.

I got a grease gun from eBay and it came with a cartridge - but no idea if that'll be enough for both shocks. It's only described as "Lithium Grease" on the eBay Ad so I may take the cartridge round the local motorfactors to see if they've got any brand name stuff in a cartridge that'll match my gun.

Also got a box of 110 assorted grease nipples between M6 and M10. What size did you use for yours Tony (if you can remember) and did they sit flush without fouling the insides of the shocks?

Yes they sat flush, I'm sure they were 6mm
