Well weekend/ track day

Just picked up a 96 STi V3 V-Limited running at circa 340 BHP
I have a few questions

The car has a FC Commander and when hard acceleration the engine check light flashes at high rpm is this bad or has someone done a setting which makes the engine check turn into a shift light?? Silly question I know

Also is there and noob help for how to use the FC Commander?

And any friendly MOT stations that are cat/ no at friendly in the north west?


I absolutely shocked how fast this is compared to my bug wrx which wasn't slow
