Default Fitting strut to hub

Evening!!

I have changed the drive shaft on my 2005 wrx blobeye with stock suspension struts and eibach springs. Trying to line the hub back up with the bottom of the strut and I can't get the bottom of the strut high enough to thread the bolts through......any ideas please?

Thanks, Adam

spring compressor or hydraulic jack to push the strut back up

Or the driveway version, Put a few bricks under the strut and lower the jack gently until it lines up
