Speedo not working

Hi guys
I have had a secondhand lower speedo cable fitted before chilli stamps now the speedo isn't working again

How can I find out what part is broken cheers

What car is it on mate?

I know the speedo drive itself on the five speeds is press fitted into the side of the box on the drivers side below the bulkhead......check for any signs of damage there?
