How to remove side skirts help!
Hi, how do you remove side skirts on turbo 2000 as I want body shop to colour code them and how do you remove rear hockey sticks please.
Any ideas how much I would expect to pay.
Any ideas how much I would expect to pay.
Sideskirts:
A plastic "rivet" at each end, pick the centre out and it comes loose.
About half a dozen hex-headed bolts underneath. These need a good soak with WD40 etc, and you'll still probably break some of the clips they bolt into.
Then pull it away, it's in two bits. DO try not to damage the black soft strip along the top, you'll need it to refit it.
Rear skirts:
A plastic rivet under the rear, one at the front and a bolt under the rear wing in the wheelarch. then it's a case of pulling it hard towards the rear of the car, they are supposed to slide out of their clips...best of luck, mine were rusted solid.
Some tips:
DO soak clips, bolts etc in WD40 for a couple of days before attempting, respray it every day.
DO ensure the bodyshop uses plastic primer or it WILL all flake off
DO replace all bolts with stainless when replacing the bits. I search www.yell.com for bolt and nut stockist.
DON'T worry if you break some clips, Scoob dealers will get them, or may have them in, they are about 90p each.
DON'T panic if you can't get the lower bolts out, or they turn in the clips, just keep going until you destroy the clip, then replace it.
Expect to pay £150-£200 for those bits done properly.
Best of luck.

I removed mine 12 years ago
Rear hockey sticks /spats
I'm sure there was 2 screws underneath and after you take the screws out
You tapped them to the rear as they were on some sort of nipple thing
Side skirts 4 screws to undo and they came out in 2 sections
I paid £100 mates rates to get them done
Had most quotes of £250 ish
