Default Boost pressure

Can someone confirm the standard boost on a standard 2004 sti (non PPP)
The reason I ask is I've just purchased an obd2 bluetooth reader running with Torque Pro, just went out to test it & maximum boost was just under 11psi.
If this isn't right where should I start looking for boost loss. I'm pretty sure all pipes from turbo through intercooler to throttle body are tight & in good condition.
The other question I suppose is can I rely on that reading from that source?
