Question centre exhaust replacement

Im replacing the cente exhaust on my 2001 subaru impreza wrx bugeye with a scopion exhaust. the old exhaust is out and the scopion is in but i am having trouble fittting the spring bolts that connnect the centre to the cat. there is now bit more of a gab then the standard exhaust so i cannot push the spring in enough for me to get the nut on to do up. do i need to use a different bolt rather then the standard subaru spring bolts.

just good quality bolts, I fitted my exhaust nearly a year ago and had no problems and the car is my daily drive.
