Default Turbo Timers???

Right Im looking to get a turbo timer for my97 uk 2000 any recommendations, Ideally I would like a plug and play cheers

just drive it steady for last few miles, by far a better option, keeps all fluid circulating, not just oil.

used to run them donkeys years ago in my classic's but then started just driving home the last mile sensibly as always then no need to let the car tick over for a minute or a turbo timer few seconds then switch off, more a bit of a gadget than anything if you ask me, however if you have your mind set on getting one i would probably go for one of the hks/ apexi or greddy you will need to buy the correct harness for your car regardless for it to be plug and play.

Couldnt agree more... save your cash mate, I had one on my old Skyline, was a pain in the *** if im honest having to wait for it, as long as you drive normally for the last mile or so you should be fine..
However if you are set on getting one, HKS is a good one but they all do pretty much the same job, unless you go for the more expnsive ones that do more than just a time counter... Be prepared for the "your engines still running mate" comment all the time

What fluids are not going to be circulating with a timer?

They don't cost much and are useful, especially for warming up in morning and cooling down whilst you empty car/unlock house etc but not essential with standard turbo setup

HKS is a good one

Warming up for defrosting you're window maybe , there is no substitute for warming up and cooling down other than driving
You won't have as much oil pressure/flow at idle therefore the oil is not gonna be flowing at a rate that's gonna be beneficial and also the water isn't gonna be flowing at a great rate and certainly not gonna get the benefit of the air cooling effect from the radiator
Coupled to the fact another benefit of warming /cooling by driving transmission brakes ,
Turbo timers are a complete waste of time and money
And are not needed

As others have said, don,t waste your money, just dont use boost a minute or two before you switch the engine off. Steve.

Total waste of money much better as explained above to drive it easy over the last mile and i leave myn running for no more than 20 seconds before kissing it goodnight

Also possibly illegal to use ,so your gonna have to sit in the vehicle when in use
So save some cash and the hassle of wiring it an buy an egg timer
