Default problems with my RA advise needed please

Hi guys got two problems with the RA that need sorting, i have used the search function but can't find anything on the first issue

Problem 1

When I go to start the car in the mornings or after its been sat parked up all day it won't turn over on the first try it almost starts then cuts out but turns over perfect on the 2nd try?

Problem 2

Boosting issue, driving off boost or half throttle she drives fine but under full load the car stutters and feels gutless all the way up threw the revs looked threw the search function and its pointing to either my MAF or spark plugs so gonna try plugs first are these the correct ones for a 95 WRX Type RA (NGK PFR 7B)

Engine wise here is what's been done

Sti forged pistons
ACL race bearings main and big end
1.5mm steel head gaskets
Modified oil pump
Reversed fuel line flow
TD05 16g turbo
WALBRO 255 lph fuel pump
Fuel pressure regulator
front mount intercooler
HKS fuel cut defender
HKS de-cat
HKS BOV
Blitz nur spec r exhaust system
JP performance alloy radiator
K&N induction kit
Running 1 bar boost

Any advise would be much appreciated,

Thanks, Mark

What ecu are you running?
Is the car mapped for the mods?
What fuel are you running?

It's on a Z5 ecu not been mapped yet but but has run like this fine for a little while always use shell v-power

Hopefully get it mapped over the next few months if all goes to plan but need to get these problems solved before hand

Hi

We have lots of experience with the subaru's and we are running x2 gc8 ra's, dont hold me to it but try maf sensor first but I would remap it aswell. It is worth having a specialist have a good look over it and remap to suite the mods and spec.

Hope you get it sorted.

Cheers

Stephen

Fuel is good, mods will be causing it to run more than 1 bar of boost though and can/will give you bad running issues.
The thing is that you need to sort one issue out to find another (if there is another), the biggest will be the fact your car is not mapped for the modifications, as suggested, you need to get the car checked out and mapped, your maf may be ok and just confused by the modifications or it may be knackered and confusing the ecu even more, either way it needs looking at.

it needs mapping for the mods you have fitted.

fiddling with mafs, spark plugs etc wont change this fact and if its overboosting will destroy the engine in time

just check and replace plugs and leads if need be but i would be sure most of the problems are due to it not being mapped.

you may have rebuilt the engine but it could be running lean due to the mods and this will kill it regardless of if its rebuilt or not
