Default Does everyone use genuine gaskets for a rebuild?

Just wondering as they seem a bit pricey? (Engine rebuild)

Has anyone used non gen with any success? If so, where from?

If they're pricey, probably worth to buy this kit from USA,where are cheaper than here, but still with all charges can be very similar to prices here

Yes -I use genuine seals/gaskets every time, as for the cost ...... cheaper than doing the job twice due to a sh*tty pattern seal that leaks and you having to pull the engine down to replace it.
Just my 2 pence worth

Always use genuine except for head gaskets, import car parts usually do a good price on the sets, been rule of thumb for me whatever car it is

As said above, always use genuine gaskets. Cheaper alternatives WILL let you down so end up costing you more in the long run.

Cosworth's 'stopper' head gaskets are very good and don't cost any more than the standard head gaskets. They are a multi layer stainless steel gasket and have an extra folded layer which helps improve the seal.
