Default Boxer Diesel Boost Gauge HELP arghh

Hi Guys

First post and all that

I've got an Impreza Diesel and having problems with the boost gauge, we've managed to route the wiring etc but we have no idea what to connect it to?

So I've included a picture of where I think it goes, but if you need anymore pictures of other parts of the engine then please feel free to ask me
Its doing my head in

Click on the pic to make it bigger

Thanks Ross

You'll find it near impossible to fit one as there are no take offs from the manifold and what you see there is the actuator control solenoid for the turbo which is powered off the aux vaccum pump located on the nsf of the engine for the brakes. The ecu takes its information from the map sensor located just to the right of the alternator which is how the ecu determines how much boost the turbo has supplied.

The only possible way is to drill and thread the manifold and fit a boost bolt, but that's wouldn't be advised unless your taking it off due to swarf ingression.

Oh my gosh, well That's not ideal

As I've wired it all in, ran the cables to the engine bay, stripped the dash apart to fit the gauge

Well suppose it now calibrates and sits and shows zero

Wouldn't want a AEM Digital Gauge for your Impreza would you
