Give it until the new year, then contact Harvey's Mrs on his normal e-mail addy.

By then, she will have made some sort of decision and either will continue to supply, or will have sold on/leased the rights.

puzzled why no one else has made these. easily replicatable. i expect abuse for such torrid thoughts... but almost every aftermarket part comes in different forms... or has like for like copies... Japspeed springs to mind.

Harvey's has taken quite a while and a lot of work to perfect. The bores, the position of the narrowing, the amount of polishing...they all make a difference.

Harvey's supplier won't supply to anyone BUT Harvey, or rather his wife at the mo.

NOT all up-pipes are the same, trust me.

if the current supplier / retailer stops providing. A new source should be found.

This pipe is just..... a pipe, and replicatable.

Just pointing out some basic facts. Im not going to make them!

You cant patent every up pipe... just your own.

Its an open market....

Not sure what you are saying really. There are others out there, they claim to be as good. They aren't. Simple.

And the supplier will not "stop supplying" he will supply to dawn, or Darren, who did the work for Harvey, and perhaps someone will come in and offer Dawn a decent amount for the rights. That would be fair, eh?

Harvey passed away not so long ago (RIP) so that is probably why the email address is no longer active.

Not sure buddy. We will just have to wait until someone who knows the family & Harvey's business well enough lets us know if they are going to continue. Until then the best bet is to put a post in the "Wanted" section of the Members Marketplace.

Was going to suggest this. If Daz can't get one, he might know the state of play.

Not suggesting an other misc pipe, i'm suggesting the pipe hasn't been copied yet. This isn't a circuit board, its a steel pipe.

If your after a pipe, contact Alyn at AS Performance, he might be able to help you out.

Darren is a fitter, not a pipe supplier. I called him a while back and he couldn't help.

Agreed, but Daz was Harvey's friend and his fitter. He will be in contact with Dawn. I know Dawn was in the process of deciding what to do about the up-pipes, amongst other things.

I'm NOT sure it's ethical to copy Harvey's pipe, nor am I sure anyone would do it for you. Circuit board it may not be, but it IS the result of many hours of design work and testing.

I called Darren a few months back and he could not help. I live close.

I called Alyn, he called Dawn. Problem was resolved.

Not suggesting a copy, but I cant see how the pipe itself is anything but a replica of other pipes...

Its an improvement of the RC Venturi pipe is just baffled to low and the outlet hole is too wide. Harvey worked with RC to get pipe made.

I have previously discussed with a close friend (welder) how to resolve the issue. Easy fix.

As far a copys go, I dont think you can protect a generic pipe that itself is a replica of an OEM item that itself is more than likely not protected, hence all the after market copies of the Subaru up pipe.

But to make it clear, i'm not trying to be difficult, i have a HS pipe already, i bought two in total.

I'm more interested in the stagnation of an in demand item that needs a reasonable resolution to lack of supply but high demand.
