Default PROSPORT DIGITAL BOOST GAUGE WIRING HELP

Hi,as above.
Any advice on fitting a prosport digital boost gauge.
The wiring from the gauge is only 18 inches long, how can i get to the radio loom/? Extend wires maybe?
The boost gauge has a wiring harness at the back of gauge,
5 wires,
Red-12v acc power
Black-negative
White-engine acc power
Orange-headlights
Green -to boost sender(in engine bay)

so was thinking,
Red to radio switched live(yellow and red)
Black to black(cig lighter)
White to switched live(yellow and red)boost gauge lights up white?
Orange to Green(radio illumination)so boost gauge changes from white to green at night?
Green through bulkhead to white wire on back of boost sensor?

Boost sensor in engine bay has 3 wires,
Red-switched live
Black-negative(ground)
White to green wire on harness which connects to back off boost gauge.

Best way to get power/earth to boost sensor
Best way to connect the wires at back of boost gauge.
I beleive i can connect vac hose to spare nipple on manifold, which will then go to boost sensor.
The gauge came with a in line filter to be used between sensor and vac hose,so i will connect hose to spare nipple then fit in line filter then connect to boost sensor and happy days,i think???

Pop in to an automotive shop and pick up a small coil of wire, probably around £2, will be the correct thickness and supply the correct power and amp's to the unit, where as the 3 core from a hair dryer will have the potential to carry more power etc, will still work just maybe not the most ideal cable to use

Or you could order some lengths in the correct colours from www.vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk.
Use the smallest thinwall they do: http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.e...e/thinwall.php

I bit the bullet today and after a few hours its all fine.
I have got it all working, lights up white with a bit of a opening ceremony and with lights on it turns green. I am just waiting for my pillar pod to come.
What should my uk 2000 classic max boost be?
