Default Replacement key can't start car

Hi,

Ok so my key has always been a bit dodgy and took a couple of hard presses to unlock my car/disable immobiliser. However now it will no longer unlock the car. I can get in the car with the key but cannot start it due to the imbolsier.

I'm not 100% it is the key however I never got a replacement key so going to bite the bullet and get a spare one anyway.

My question is tho I won't be able to take the car to the garage/dealer can they make me a new key based on my old key if I took that in?

Also how much are dealers charging for a new key

It's 2005 blob eye imprezza

Have you tried changing the battery in the key?

may be in the cars paper work or If you do not have the current PIN, then option A is your best solution. However if you do not have a working Radio Key, then you will have to use option B and obtain the systems PIN code from Subaru (UK). Your dealer can obtain this for you if you can provide proof of ownership and the alarm systems 16-digit serial number.

I have heard rumor of a sticker somewhere in the car (but i never found it)
