Default Induction pipe direct to turbo Question

I have a V1 inlet and at the moment using a 90Deg elbow to the turbo, as its a 20G front entry.

the plan in the new year is to fit spacers and lift the manifold and run a straight intake to the turbo. is this s spacialist thing or can i just fabricate a tube with joints.

is there a specialist component people use ?

Regards DP

Am I reading that right??

You want to run a 20g Turbo direct to the inlet manifold without an intercooler

no, its the cold air intake, on the V1 inlets , the turbo has a 90 Alu bend, not like the later intakes.

Buy a silicon inlet pipe for a later car, or length of alloy pipe and some silicon hose joiners.

You'll have to get creative for breathers and return from the DV, unless you have a recirc and catch can fitted.

It'll be a tight fit under the manifold by all accounts with a later inlet pipe.

Yip, I have a new FPR, and all adaptors, so its a complete upgrade , might as well as it will be all in bits. Doubt its needed, not looking to go over 400.

What are you doing about the fuel rails? Modified OEM, or others?

I've got a spare set of OEM rails that I'm getting fittings welded onto for mine.

Think will go for after market set, the mod wont be happening until mid next year, as just had mine mapped on the standard intercooler, was running ok until the fuel pump packed in LOL. Got a healthy 300 or so bhp, want more lol

Cheaper to get some weld on fittings. Complete phase 1 manifolds can be had for £20 is on they bay.
