Default Air filter

Hi all,

Am sure that its been raised many a time, but just humour me.

Is a simple replacement 'performance' air filter worth buying? I have a 100% standard blob eye wrx ppp and just wondering if fitting say a green air filter would make even the tiniest increase in performance? Or is this simply a myth/the placebo effect?

I note that there are many available such as green, k&n, blitz etc. if its worth doing, what would be the best filter to have in terms of performance as well as filtering dust?

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Wont feel any gains. They last longer and can be reused compared to Subaru filter so can work out cheaper in the longer term.

I use Cosworth or ProR (Pipercross) filter as both are dry type filters, although the cosworth is not re-usable

Not sure if it will work on the PPP but when I put in a pipercross filter when my hawk was pre remap it gave me an extra 30miles on a long run. Happy with that!
