wing mirrors
Hi all.
I have ordered a set of JDM wing mirrors for my Classic wagon which I hope to install this weekend. I understand I need two pairs of wires to run from the switch to either of the mirrors.
What I want to know is this - how can I take in contents of the JDM mirrors out to replace with my OEM one - saving having to paint it.
Also, is there a trick for keeping my heated mirrors?
Many thanks.

What year car are the new mirrors?
I was unaware that 99 UK cars had heated mirrors.
Since it's the glass that is heated, you'd have to swap out the glass.
It's NOT easy to remove the guts but it can be done, the first job is to remove the glass, heating it gently with a hairdryer to soften the surround that grips it, seems to be the accepted method.
