out of interest would a wagon engine bolt to a saloon classic? providing the y were similar year etc???

Yes if they are similar year it's a direct replacement.

Similar years are pretty much compatible with everything except the obvious body panel and interior parts

Rear lights are different sizes too and not interchangeable.

age for age the Wagon is simply a slightly different rear body shape to the Saloon and hence all mechanicals basically interchange

excellent. body panels im not so worried about to be honest and i m aware anything almost from the back end wont fit. thanks guys
