Default Cold start cut out.

Fixed see post 5.

Hi guys this morning went to start the wagon and it started run for about 5-10 seconds then just cut's out. Started again the same then after it had a bit of heat in it started ran ruff really low on the rev's but as it got warmer and warmer began to run fine. Now it's upto temp starting and running mint after ever start.
Can someone give me some pointers. Unplugged the maf and started it and it made now difference still cut out when it was cold. Really does run mint when warm though.

My 2005 STI is doing the same in the cold weather at the mo. Use the search bar at the top of the page for things like "cold starting" etc and you will find loads of threads and replies.

Cheers John but I've fixed it this afternoon. Came back as code error 23 from the cel light = MAF as most know. Checked the wiring block that was ok still nothing.. Undid the 4 small cross head screws on the connector to get inside the MAF to view the solder pins. Just eased the block out a little and could see one of the solder pins had snapped/come undone. So bent it upward to snap the other 2 joints. Adjusted the 3 pins with pliers and resoldered them all back on. Sealed the connector with a bit of silicon and tightened the 4 small screws back up. Popped it on the car and started it. Sweet as a nut
