Hardening come off cam tip...
Righty,
The car was making a knocking from the passenger side head, stripped the cam cover off and one of the cam lobes is worn, and knocking on the bucket rather than smoothly rotating.
Now i thought i had a spare set of V3 STI heads to go on, but the cams seem to be different,
The ones in the engine have 4L written on and the ones in the spare heads ahave 3L written on.
What are the differences if any and what are the cams i need to replace the damaged one?
