Default Sti intercooler v WRX Intercooler??

Whats your advice guy's is there any point in fitting an STi intercooler to a 2004WRX without changing the bonnet scoop or should I keep the WRX intercooler and change the y-pipe for a Samco/Prodrive??

Other mods to be done at the same time are:-

Vf35
Walbro 255
Decat Up pipe
Sti Pinks
3"Exhaust with Sports Cat
PFR7B Plugs

Thanks for any advice!!

it's not so much the scoop mate , it's the rubber skirt on the underside , wrx is slightly smaller , so if you don't change that youre not gonna get max air flow into the slightly bigger Sti cooler

As tony said, the STI intercooler is larger so using the wrx undertray doesnt help cooling. 2nd hand STI undertrays can be had for around £30 or punch through the wrx one to help with getting more air into the bigger cooler.
