Oil pump relief valve
Gents,
After much persuasion I've got my oil pump relief valve out, it was wedged right in! Now 1 very simple question.
Is it standard or modified? I've searched for pictures for the last hour but figured someone will answer this nice and quick for me.
Thanks
Lewis

thanks, i did think so as I've just found a pic on an american site of the standard one.
only problem is, this one has failed like a standard one would!!! it was fully stuck in the oil pump and i had to wedge it out.
has anyone seen this happen before?

Any contamination in the oil, be it stray sealant/dirt ingress or bearing contamination from a big end failure can jam a standard or modified PRV.
If it was jammed in that tight, then chances are that the bore in the oil pump body will be scored too and the pump is scrap.
