Trying to decide if there is any real differences to the three baffle plates I've found...

Cheapest ebay one that claims to have better rubber flaps £150

I don't mind paying more, my main concern is to get the better one. Confusing why RCM sells their own as well as cosworth but only shows the cosworth one on their site?

The other option is to build my own group N style one using some of the flaps..

 

The baffles in the cosworth one I have have gone very limp and don't stay up like they should anymore.

Your own Group N baffled sump can/will be cheaper than when you will be buying from some companies

We're run before Cosworth Baffle plate like on track or drag strip and we are been happy,but we are now considering to buying RCM one for our 2.35L

Second option is have look for KillerB options,some nice kits which they're selling

You would be better putting the baffle plate money to a proper baffled sump imo.

 

Thanks for the thoughts guys, sounds like I'd be best off taking my time and making my own... I'm already running a custom shorter sump so I think if I make the group N style one the fact the rubber baffles are vertical will significantly help the fact that they may go floppy with age/temperature cycling..

As said the baffle sump & oil pick up package is the best bet

This is what I have to start with and I need the extra ground clearance of a shorter sump so an off the shelf option won't work for me:



I don't really see anything special in the killer b sump itself? Pick up and baffle plate look fine.. The biggest benefit seems to be the later twin scroll design being more of a column of oil around the pick up.

 

They must have done thier homework because the killer b setups have become fairly standard for hard core track cars (time-attack, endurance, etc.) here in the states, proven to perform much better than OEM and even Moroso.

I know they have made some short sumps for a few nutty Porsche guys running EJ engines
