Default Cambelt Kits, brand?

Looking at possibly having the cambelt done on my soon to be Impreza 2004. Someone said go for bluepoint rather than the cheap stuff on ebay.

Is there a top brand for cambelt kits that people on here would swear by?

CP Autos did me a great price on a full RCM kit. It even turned up in a very sexy black box which i was sad enough to keep and i now keep the cars service history in

A subaru dealer quoted me £309 inclusive of parts, labour and VAT to change the cambelt. But they said that they don't do the tensioner for that price. The tensioner part is another £180. Is it definately worth doing the tensioner as well?

I second importcarparts.co.uk. Cambelt kit is £177. I think it was £230 with water pump.

Thanks for the replies.

The car has done 79,000 miles. However, it seems that between the change of owners the cambelt might not have been done at 60,000. So I'm a little worried. I have checked out the links. Import car parts seems a good price. Obviously the gates belts have a good reputation. Would you say all the pulleys are also good quality?

Is there any other bolts etc I should be buying to make sure I have everything for saturday? I have to do it this saturday and so need all the possible bits before hand.

I always use Gates kits on all my cars, Never had an issue and dont see the need for an over priced cosworth belt.
