Default 2004 impreza wrx won't start lights on dash alarm help!!!

A couple of days ago my 2004 wrx started intermittently not starting. All lights came on as normal unlocked ok got in clicked key once in as usual after 30 secs imobaliser overide. Nothing happens only a small beep? Also this happened yesterday towed home from petrol station. Tried to unlock car today nothing wouldn't unlock at all. Which brings me to has anyone had this before? Is it alarm issue and it's drained battery or dicky battery? Please help I need my beloved scooby back stuck in missus Daewoo kalos

Batteries had it, or somethings draining it. Map light? Boot light or similar

I got the battery checked today said it was ok. I think maybe a drain from alarm also has a tracker that isn't in use not registered. Any ideas? Thanks for the response.

I've just had something similar happen to me. Been using the car today with no issue, just stepped in and as I put the key in the ignition the radio kicked in and as I took coat off, fastened seat belt the immobiliser kicked in. I pressed the alarm button on the key fob and turned the key and had a complete loss of power - nothing, no odometer or alarm or clock or anything. Almost like a fuse has blown, has anyone had this happen?

hey just wondering if you figured out what it was? This has happened to us, started fine then the next day tried to start put fuel in it because we thought it was fuel. But the doors lock by themselves and there is no lights on the dashboard. We thought fuse aswell. The fuel pump doesn't in gage and it just keeps turning over.
thanks Laura

There are various posts on this topic, but from what ive read the tracker (not in use/standby) does drain the battery a little, although it would take the car to be stood for some time to fully drain.

Ive had similar battery issues with mine...just make sure you have your side lights on all the time when driving. The 'smart' alternator wont charge your battery if there is no load. Short journeys, stopping and starting etc will drain you flat.
Buy a multi meter to keep a check on things...
