Did you buy brand new? I read SC are fading this version out as the sc38's can almost make the same power as the sc40.

Apparently the sc38 has slightly a better spool than the sc40, but the sc40 makes more big end power

that was just on vpower, fmic, full decat, EL headers. inner wing induction and mapping from the JGM. was only at circa 1.55 bar as well! makes a ballistic road car, still on standard injectors also!

With a 2.1 conversion this turbo (from my understanding) will give you decent power but with your planned setup you will have a greater benefit from an even bigger turbo, sc42,46 or MD's.

I'm sure it will be fine but I haven't read many owners going sc40 with a 2.1. The sc38, 40 are apparently more suited for 2lts. Just my understanding no actually experience mate.

I'll still be running a 5 speed at the time im dropping the new lump in making sure the engine running well etc then up the power and change the box so will be in the market for larger turbo etc after that
