Hi im new here so hello i have a uk 2000 98 wagon but its done 170k cream leather full subaru service history with thousands spent on it i won it on ebay but don't know what to do

ive saw a vreg 2000 saloon with a sti engine in it 65k on clock but guys has drove it 3k miles on standard 2000 ecu
if i buy is it safe to carry on doin this its totaly standard apart from the straight engine swops
please help would be great

I cant see how the saloon would run at all properly. uk cars are a different map to imported ones mate

as far as i know its been running fine for 3 k i thought the same, engine internals are different etc but i read somewhere that sti just a straight swop and ecu remap
i presume its a engine from a uk sti

doubt the engine is from a uk sti as the sti wasnt an official model in the uk until the newage cars and these had avcs heads and they wont run on a turbo 2000 ecu.

this is the link i have spoke to the guy he says runs good and would only need remap if i wanted to get more bhp
bit confusing so might just hold on to mine for a bit could become an issue otherwise thanks guys

No photos of the engine or paperwork, I'm sure i have this before on eBay. It's just a uk engine
