Hi, I've just installed an ecu with a dnb chip(which i believe is a major sarcasm chip) into a my95 wrx.
Anyway as soon as it was fitted and i started the car the CEL came on,connected the black plugs to flash the codes but the light stays constant??
Any ideas?

 

Its the green plug you need to connect only. If you connect black and green, you get a constant light. But your rad fans would also come on too.

 

When i connect green to green i just get all the sensors cycling and still a constant CEL?

 

Sorry I am wrong, got them mixed up. Only did it myself this week, and had the same thing where I forgot to un-plug them. Had the CEL on constantly because I left the black plugs connected.
You are just turning the ignition on aren't you? Not starting the engine?

 

Yea just the ignition not running.

 

Thats not right. Maybe PM Major Sarcasm, ask if its happened before.

 

Any more thoughts??
