Is the restrictor pill in the correct place or installed? It should be just after the compressor housing before the T piece. If its after the T piece, it'l push the actuator open when climbing on boost.

Secondly, trying shortening the actuator arm by a few turns to see if boost is altered. Be sure to count how many turns you do incase it's something else, an you can put it back to how it was

Hope you find it bud

right ok i know this mite sound a bit dump but what is a restrictor pill and what does it look like any one have pics of what it mite look like. And also when i adjust the arm the boost does not really change a lot do you know which way you need to turn the arm for more boost. coz when i screwed it out it started to make a tinging noise so turned it back again?.

It's a small brass pill shaped thing with a small hole in it(about 1-2mm) it's in the small 5mm hose just after the 'T' section where 3 pipes meet, Trace it back from the turbo(its attatched to the part going to the intercooler) and you can't miss it, You will have to feel/squeeze the pipes to see if it is there as you can't actually see it.

Your car as standard should be boosting around 0.9bar, Has the car been mapped or are you just trying to raise boost without adjusting fuel etc.. If so it's not really the best method to gain reliable power IMO

i shall have a look. My car has had a remap by racedynamics and it was pushing just over 1bar before. Paid £170 quid for a decent forge actuator and end up getting less boost. is it worth getting a manual boost controller?

You probably have it a adjusted incorrectly , shorten the rod for more boost, lengthen the rod for less

As you mentioned you just paid £170 for an adjustable actuator. use it and get the car mapped .
