Default Classic impreza: Do Turbo parts fit Non-Turbo/Sports

Hi folks, tried to search on this with no luck.

So we got our 2000 model year classic sport wagon back (bought it new, sold it to sister in law, she has sold it back to us..with a teeeeeny little bit of clutch left.. ).

Anyway, exhaust is too quiet and shot anyway, so I want to put a fruity exhaust on it to get some of that lovely scooby noise, and do something about its space hopper handling (140k miles on original shocks, no surprise she's a bit bouncy and harsh - and yes this is the car I'm talking about, not the sister in law..)

So the question as I fumble about on ebay is: Will turbo back boxes fit sports, presuming cat section is stock? Are wagon and saloon back boxes interchangeable? (and same for question for shockers please..)

Cheers!

Suspension is interchangable between all classics, some sti red shocks and springs would be a cheap alternative plus will lower it slightly.

Exhausts i dont think are interchangable between turbos and sports, however wagons and saloons of the same engine are

Also, for the burble have a look for replacement exhaust headers such as borla. Yours are equal length as standard, if you change to unequal length it gives the distinctive flat four burble

Excellent, thanks for the help, I've seen the red shocks up for sale a couple of times.
I was hoping a back box +/- induction kit would be enough for me to at least hear what the engine is saying, but will have a look for headers too, cheers.

Thanks for that. I like the 'instantly gain "up to" 25bhp' claim. 'Appen, as they say up North..

This feels like it could be a slippery slope. I'll be searching for titanium valve springs before I know it

These look like nice red sti shocks, but the seller says they won't fit cos of different top mounts??

Those shocks are from a v7 ie bugeye so i dont think they fit. You need sti suspension from a classic v1-6 (93-00).

25bhp is very optimistic but the sound is worth every penny in my book. Will be the best mod you do for a sport trust me ;-)

Grand, thanks for translating the scoobese for me. I thought V7 was last of classics (facelift) for some reason. Back to the drawing board.

Sorry for the stupid questions, I normally drive Porsches, LOL.
