Default Lambda sensor, which one...

OK, so from doing a bit of research the OE part from the stealers is about 120 quid. This, from what i have read, is a bosch part. So I have looked into it and think i have found 2 cheaper but quality Lambda's:

option one, i think this may be the OE part, Bosch with Subaru plug:

http://www.lambdasensor.com/main/bos...tem=0258003445

Option two, a Bosch universal job (LS02), which means splicing it to the original plug:

Does anyone know if my info here is correct / have any comments on it, I'd rather not pay 120+ for a bosch lambda if i can source it elsewhere.

cheers

Never splice the wires as can interfeare with the signal. I'd buy genuine for peace of mind

You don't need to splice anything mate, a small terminal screwdriver will release the terminals from the plug, they then slot into the old plug

If I ever have to splice anything I solder, this gives a much better connection than plugs. Connection quality wouldn't be an issue.

What car is it for mate?
I got one for a classic, (blue print) from local motor factors for about £50 , and swapped the plug, they only had a choice of 2 if I remember correctly, 3 or 4 wire

O2 sensor wires are coated & won't solder unless the coating is removed which kind of makes the coating pointless. I'm only speaking from experience, after having problems with non OE sensors in the past.
