Default Dump Valve problems (still)

Hi guys i had a Baileys dump valve on my 2001 Bugeye and was not really dumping off in 4th and 5th gear , so ive bought a new one , different make thats bolted straight on to the intercooler, still a vent to air, and still the same , ive also got a Blitz Induction Kit, i can only really hear it dumping off wen driving hard but still not again in 4th or 5th !! would this suggest a leak somewhere, as im baffled by it now :/ help !!

Is the valve adjustible?

Spring might be set to hard or as you said a leak somewhere, just check all pipes.

I know the Baileys are prone to leaks, don't mean this in a horrible way but is the new one a cheapy ebay one? Some of these arn't very strong and leak.

Worth checking the vacuume hose from inlet to DV, might be worth replacing if it is the original, rubber hose tends to degrade and leak even if not obvious by looking at it.

Might be leaking through the gasket between DV and IC?

Might even just be quiet, the induction noise from the Blitz might be drowning it out.

Wait........what is the POINT of a dumpvalve? Just to make a whoosh noise? Or is it doing it's job?

SURELY, the latter is the case, so you need to get a mapper to have a look and make sure the engine is running ok and FORGET THE DAFT NOISE?
