Default Key

Hi guys just a general question

I bought my import with only one key.

It is just a basic key no fob as no alarmed yet but my question is
Should it just be a plain key like u can get cut or should it have some sort of electrics in the key???

Sorry if the question sounds stupid

Default Subaru Key

My STI V5 import has just basic key,get one cut and it works fine. Most imports come to UK without alarm systems fitted.Mine has a Cobra category one system fitted with remotes, far superior to Subarus own make.

I know someone who owns a subaru breakers and been told I can have the alarm of a car as he just throws then away.

New ones are not expensive anyways
