Any advice do's and dont's
Have had advice saying dont bother to much hassle. Have taken mine apart and have got to last wire it fits onto the back of the airbag in the centre and from what i can see connects via a little yellow holder in the middle

Can't answer your compatibility question!
I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, then took it off!
With the wheel centred loosen off the centre nut, but leave it on the last few threads. It saves the wheel hitting you in the chest when you remove it!!
But I changed MY07 RB320 steering wheel & this is the wires o the back of mine..

There are usually two sets of wires: one is encased in yellow and is airbag, the other is the horn, and USUALLY just plugs onto a terminal on the rear of the wheel.
Sometimes the airbag connectors are OK and will fit one another. Usually they need to be modified.
DO disconnect battery as Jura says BEFORE diconnecting airbag, I left mine 30 minutes.
And when you RE-connect, open door and turn on ignition from OUTSIDE the car, not sitting in it
