Turbo blanket Vs Standard heatsheild
Is there much benifit of fitting a turbo blanket rather than leaving the standard heatsheild ?
STI Type UK Bugeye , top mount , induction kit.

Better off with standard heatsheild until you upgrade to a bigger turbo.

Get the turbo glowing then you feel how much heat comes off them blanket for me !

I know , but if i take the heatshield off to fit the blanket is there any difference ?

Yes, the blanket fit's snugger than the heat shield so it will do a much better job

Got both fitted to mine. Modified standard heat shield to fit over blanket. Blankets do work, worth the effort.

Used a blanket on my vf37 twinscroll done a much better job than the heat shield.

Turbo blanket`s work really well,fitted one to mine and after taking the car out and giving it death i could place my hand on the blanket and keep it there no problem,try that with the heatsheild fitted and your hand will end up looking like niki lauda`s face.

Blanket for me on my sc46 billet, It really works well.
