Default Low oil pressure code

Hi, I had the ecl come on so I had the code checked and it came back as low oil pressure. The oil pressure light on the dash goes out straight away, is there another sensor somewhere else or is it a rogue code?
The car starts and drives ok but I have kept it off boost while the ecl light is on.
It is an 03 STI TYPE UK with PPP.

Yes, checked level and oil bang on top. Light went out after 5 starts, weird?
Is it normal for light to go out if there is a problem still or will it only go out if problem has gone?

you might have a problem , i`m not really up on newages but i`m sure i read about problems with cracked pick up pipes and i think it does exactly what youve said. i thinks its more common on 2.5s and it can be fatal to your engine

The standard sensor only puts the light on when the pressure is dangerously low, that's why people fit a gauge. You need to have the pressure checked & I would not risk running the car atall until it's been looked at by a Subaru specialist.

Car went up to Arden Bridge today and the low oil pressure code had not returned but they found a code for lh cam position sensor. They removed intercooler and removed sensor to find connection full of water.. Cleaned out and told to monitor ecl.
Pleased that car is ok, very worrying when u take a car into a garage.
