Default EJ20 Sump Vs EJ25 Sump

Hi,

A mate has an EJ25 engine with an EJ20 Sump from his old engine on it, He has purchased a KillerB oil pickup pipe, and i have just noticed on their site and another site selling their products that it fits EJ20 using an EJ25 Sump.

Is the EJ25 sump different in any way? just wondering what issues i may have fitting it for him?

Thanks
Derek

The ej25 type oil pickups are prone to cracking, ive had a few knackered engines in for re-builds and thats what ive found to be the cause.

yeh his 2.0 one that we used on his 2.5 got a hairline crack. fortunately he noticed drop in oil pressure, before it got low enough to kill the engine.
