what do i need next?
Hi All
ok at present i have the following & would like to change a few things to get some more power.
1996 v2 wrx v-ltd with:
sti8 semi closed deck block
modified api oil pump
sti 1.2mm head gaskets
pretty much all pipes & gaskets etc renewed
new radiator
samco pipes
thermostat renewed
graham goode cambelt
ngkpfr6b plugs
K&N panel filter with foglight removed & cold air pipe straight to airbox.
japspeed 100cell sports cat
blitz system
wrapped headers & up pipe.
HRC fuel pump
z4 ecu with major sarcasm chip (1.1 bar etc same spec as polar performace)
AP racing organic clutch
lightened flywheel
TY754 gearbox & matching diff.
other bits & bobs too.
(bearing in mind i also have godspeed discs & pads all round, HEL lines, 5.1 fluid, new tryes & various bushes all changed, tracking done etc)
am i right in thinking i would need:
apexi power fc
fmic & induction kit OR bigger tmic from a sti 7/8?
bigger injectors like 550cc?
bigger turbo like a TD05-18G?
harvey style up pipe?
thanks

Not surprised no one has replied yet, bit of a vague question.
How much power do you have now, and how much do you want?
The answer to your question, really relies on how deep your pockets are.

not after a set amount, just more umph! & reliability is the key.
The block is really good & aparently good for a safe 450bhp.
if possible would like to get to a safe 400 if possible or late 300's.
car runss approx 280-300 as it stands.
would like more torque if possible
also not in no rush to buy it all, so can purchase as & when as its our 3rd car that we use at weekends if we fancy a run out.

Safe 400 would be
Much better brakes
Stronger gearbox (6 speed or ppg)
newage tmic or fmic (as you said)
Don't know about the reliability of the fuel pump so can't comment
parallel fuel rails
Adjustable Fpr
With the price of Apexi pfc you might as well get a single/alcatek (then you can go maf-less)
Pfr7b plugs
a good 18g might make 380 if you would be happy at that
RCM/lateral headers And 3 bolt uppipe
If tracking it you might want to think about anti fuel & oil surge measures.
Some gauges for monitoring fuel, oil, etc....

thanks for the reply
hhhmmm gearbox, not sure if i fancy a 6 speed or ppg to be honest. This ty754 box is in really good condition & dont want to ruin that, what sort of power can these run? looks like this could be the deciding factor of power to get & have it safe for the gearbox.
from memory a good ty752 box is ok for about 280-300bhp, this is a very good condition ty754 box which afaik has a much stronger casing than the old type & can handle more power?

The casing is strengthened on the later box but they are not much stronger than previous boxes so don't over estimate what they are capable of.
Also it's the torque that kills them and not the bhp, you would be better off with a scoobyclinic gearset as an upgrade.
