If you have a Iphone or ipad you can get a app from the Apple store that works on newage car, all you need is a cable that connects to the ODB point which can be bought off Ebay.

i used this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/U380-CAR-D...item257508ad8f
cheap and chearful but does read codes and resets cel's if needed.

No you cant reset the ecu with it, but i beleive to do this is something like remove the earth cable from the battery then try operate lights elec windows etc which will drain any stored voltage then leave for 30 mins before reconnecting.

That's a myth; disconnecting the battery doesn't reset the ECU on the newage, even if you leave it for several hours. The only way to do it is via the OBD2 port and proper software.

You can do it with a decent cable and something like Romraider or ECUExplorer I believe (both of which are open source)

Hi mate

I bought an OBD scan tool off Ebay to check eml on an MG I have, it's a Bluetooth connection. Downloaded an app called Torque Pro to my Samsung phone. It works well, reset eml on my MG and my daughters Astra. Not tried it on the scooby yet but I should think it would work. Total cost inc. app less than £20
