hi sorry if a repeat question i dont seem to be much use with the search function

i am trying to pile a list of mods for my 2004 wrx. i will get it all fitted and mapped together in one hit.
what i want to know is would a decat up pipe, a 100cell high flow sports cat down pipe cat eg the ninja or japspeed one and a de cat rear pipe still pass the mot.
has any one had any experience with the sports cats regarding mots?

In theory yes- My Gc8 with straight pipes Passed- Emissions were good Mapped By Steve Simpson- and the noise? well if you don't like the Bakery... Find another one- but opinions vary! What area are you in, Maybe someone will pm a local garage with Enthusiasts.

Noone should really tinker with idle mapping anyway so should be fine. My 3" straight through cobra system was well well under the 3.5% limit.

thanks thats good to know. i didnt know there was a 3.5% limit. thats masive.
i would imagine that if it was not quite there then could just put the centre section cat pipe back in to get it thru emmisions?

does anybody know what the fitment of the bell mouth style ninja / japspeed etc sports cats are like?
