any one done the above is it safe to do? i heard before it isnt as strong as a sc42 core ect but people run 18g 20g s with dv delete fine dont they.

pretty certain you asked this already and were advised not to do it on SC36, SC38 and SC40 turbos as they are sleave bearing units, SC42 and above are ballbearing units so more robust.

So what about the 18 g ect they can't be no stronger can they?
