MOT: emissions problem
Wonder if anyone can help. Just failed MOT on emissions (CO at fast idle too high - 0.47%, and lambda 1.02% but within limits). Car is a MY00 (V6) JDM wagon and has a sports cat on it and K&N green filter. I just got it. Also recently reset ECU.
The exhaust, from turbo back, came off the old car, on which it passed emissions recently. That car was a MY97 (V3) JDM wagon.
I'm going to do all the regular things like give it a high rpm drive and they're going to try to run the exhaust hot, but failing that, can anyone suggest what might fix the problem?
Any advice very gratefully received, since I have all of 1 week left on the current MOT.
cheers

Speak to the garage first as you will want to get it on the tester straight away. No point getting it all nice and hot for it to be sat for a while. Try some STP injector cleaner. I had good results with this in the past on previous cars. Are you in any local clubs you may find help/understanding through them.
