Default K sport pad alignment.

Just fitted some new k sport 8 pots, 330mm. The pads sit about 4-5mm past the edge of the disc. It's as if the caliper mounting brackets are too big.

Anyone else had this issue?

I bought a set a couple of years ago and they were fine. The set I bought last week are Deffinatley not right, and another of my mates has the same issue.

Spoke to apex today who told me "that's just how they are", total dog **** if you ask me. Why would you design something to be perposley inefficient? Something has gone wrong in the manufacturing process.

Had same problem on the same kit few years ago, contacted apex and EBC about pad problem and EBC sent out a smaller pad to try but this didn't use the full disc. Used the larger ones in the end and the 3-4mm overhang just breaks off, don't worry about it.

Thing is I do worrie about things like this. It's just poor development. The disc should be bigger or the caliper bracket should be smaller.

At least it's not something I've done wrong. Il check the caliper clearances and if all good il get the bracket machined to rectify the manufacturing defect.

1. Are the disk's 330mm?
2. Could you have the calipers for the 356mm discs by mistake?

Over the weekend I will dig the K sport pads out for my 356mm kit and measure them and post the dimensions up.

Did you find a solution for this, or did you just continue using them with misalignment and how did that turn out?
